In 2002 I started a web development company in Richmond Virginia, Digital Underware. I also have a small e-commerce site that sells are very effective set of noise reduction headphones. The self-employed life style is fantastic although stressful at times. I can go apple picking on a Thursday afternoon (something we did last fall at Carter Mountain – highly recommended) and usually get to eat lunch with my wife and kids every day but, generally I end up working significantly more than the standard 40 hour week.
On a personal note I love music and poetry. I’m a singer/songwriter and play the acoustic guitar. I’m particularly found of music by Jack Johnson, John Mayer, James Taylor, Norah Jones, and Amos Lee. I love the water also. My wife and I both love to kayak – tour style – in the Potomac river. We also go to the beach at least once per year. Recently we’ve been frequenting Myrtle Beach SC. I’m also interested in martial arts and practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
As an umbrella over all of the above, I am a Christian. I was raised in a Christian family, but in the Summer of 2002, through a series of interesting events, I became a fully devoted follower of Jesus. While the story has many details, two of the most influential aspects of the change have been my study of the physics, chemistry and biology surrounding the origins of life and the universe and the evidence (both secular and biblical) for the bodily resurrection of Jesus.
